Cold Immersion Workshop and Progressive Series
February 14, 2019
“Cold is your warm friend” says Samuel Whiting, a certified Wim Hof Method Instructor.
Body control is paramount to performance. And the key to mastering the body, is mastering the breath. The Wim Hof Method consists of breathing techniques, mindset, commitment, practice and cold exposure to help you gain unprecedented control over your ability to remain calm under distress, and to enhance your ability to push your limits far beyond what you thought possible.
We were happy have Samuel come in and offer a Cold Immersion Workshop based on the teachings of Wim Hoff during our Soft Opening Launch.
Wim Hof, The Iceman, is known for his extraordinary achievements and breakthrough in meditation, breathing exercises, and cold training. He holds numerous records withstanding extreme temperatures including:
- Climbing the highest mountains in the world while wearing shorts
- Running a half marathon above the Arctic Circle, barefoot only wearing shorts
- Swimming underneath ice for 66 meters
Put yourself in the expert hands of certified Wim Hof Method Instructor, Samuel Whiting, to learn the three pillars of the Wim Hof Method:
1) Breathing Technique
2) Cold Exposure
Discover how you can utilize breathing and cold exposure to optimize body and mind, and learn about the underlying physiology of this practice.
This is a progressive skills series that will build on itself every other Friday, but newcomers are always welcome.
We highly recommend joining a Studio Class prior to these sessions and cool down with Samuel.
